Town of Boston Seeks Community Support for Crucial Water Infrastructure Improvement Grant

Apr 30, 2024

Boston, NY – April 30, 2024 – The Town of Boston is urging residents to lend their voices in support of the town’s application for a Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA) grant, which aims to address and resolve the pressing issue of frequent water line breaks that have significantly impacted the community.

Over recent years, our town has experienced numerous water line disruptions, causing inconvenience and concern among our residents. These breaks not only disrupt our daily lives but also underscore the urgent need for substantial upgrades to our aging water infrastructure.

To strengthen our application and highlight community backing, we are calling on all residents of Boston to submit letters of support. These letters are vital as they demonstrate to the state how critical these improvements are to our community.

How You Can Help:

  • Email: Residents can send their letters directly to the Supervisor’s Office at [email protected].
  • Drop Off: Letters can be physically dropped off at the Town Hall during business hours either with the Town Clerk or Supervisor’s Office.
  • Online Support: Alternatively, residents can easily sign a letter of support digitally by visiting this link.

We request that all letters be submitted by May 10th, 2024, to ensure they can be included in the grant application. Your support is crucial in our pursuit of this essential funding, which will enable us to enhance the reliability and safety of our water supply.
